Boulder City NV, close to Lake Mead April 2001

We relocated to Boulder City after Noel took a job 5 miles away at Lake Mead Resort, inside the National Park. The RV park has a nice heated pool, hot tub, and sauna. Most of the sites are privately owned, so there is not as much moving traffic as at a normal RV park. Found a beautiful sunrise.

This is the view from our living room window, panning SE to S. A bit of the water in Lake Mead is just visible in the valley to the far left. Nice clouds. Some of the sites are higher with a better view of the lake, but are also more exposed to the wind. The best view is to the SE, which means the patio is in the sun until late afternoon, even with an awning.

We also have some beautiful mountains just to the North (a huge TV satellite antennae is on the last peak on the left).

This is basically our site when we first moved in. The pool is at the building just behind us. The sites on either side of us are permanently owned and only used by the owners during the Snowbird season. Plenty of room for parking and setting up outdoor furniture. Pretty cactus in our neighbors site on our patio side.

In May we moved to another site that has a better view and more privacy.

This is a panorama at evening from the main office panning from NorthWest to East (Lake Mead) to SouthWest.

There have been absoultely no bugs at this park, crawling or winged. We generally have a nice breeze from the West.
